A man holds a 3-foot slab of the Fukang Pallasite. Pallasites are meteorites made up of large olivines in an iron-nickel matrix, and they’re fairly rare. Only 61 have been found — four of them observed falls, ten from Antarctica — however, many of those have been large enough that thin sections are distributed in museums all over the world.
